Day 12 The Orchard at Grantchester

Grantchester

Barb's been watching Grantchester on TV with Susan, so of course it was worth a visit. It's a very cute village on the outskirts of Cambridge, and since the weather has been so fine, we decided to visit "The Orchard" a very lovely local cafe that serves food  under the trees in the apple orchard.

The Orchard at Grantchester

John was not too pleased about having to queue for fortyfive minutes to place our lunch order, but it is Easter, and everyone else had the same idea as us. You can take your dogs here on a lead, and there are some nice surrounding walking trails.

We were lucky to even find a table and seats here it was so busy

Lunch was worth waiting for

It's certainly a very relaxed way to spend the afternoon under the apple trees
