Warwick Jumpers'n'Jazz Festival 2018
We were lucky to have John's sister Susan visit us for a few weeks at the end of July/early August. Since she had missed out on seeing Knitfest, we decided to take her out to Warwick for a couple of nights to visit the "Jumpers'n'Jazz festival so she could see some Australian yarn'bombing in action.
The drive out to Warwick via Kilcoy, Esk, Gatton and Allora was lovely, but it was very evident that the country is in the grip of severe drought. Everything looked very brown once we left the coast.
We stopped at Kilcoy for coffee and bakery treats...I can see this is going to be an "off-diet" couple of days....
Barb was very keen to stop and have a look at Allora which is the town where her mother grew up and attended school. Unfortuneately she didn't know the address of the old family farm, but at least she got to see the town.
We stayed at an Airbnb in Warwick and while it was a lovely old cottage, beautifully decorated....it was also VERY cold while we were there!! Down to 1 degree overnight.
Warwick's Festival has been running annually for fourteen years now so they have built up a very large array of tree decorations, some of which get recycled year by year.
Their main installation was a gorgeous little cottage at the Art Gallery in town.
We were very impressed by it all!
